• Our Motel Policies

  • Cancellation Policy:

    Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date (2pm) will incur NO charge.
    Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, or failure to arrive, may incur an administration fee equivalent to 100% of the booked accommodation. This includes cancellation of nights after arrival.

    Independent travel insurance is advisable.

     

    Arrival and Departure Times:

    Check IN time is 2:00pm - 8:30pm.
    Check OUT time is 10:00am.
    Front Desk Hours is 7:30am - 8:30pm
    NOTE: Please contact us prior to your arrival if you need to check-in outside of our regular hours.

     

    Reservations & Payment Terms:

    Age: you must be 18 years or over.

    Reservations made through this website must be accompanied by valid credit card details.
    Proof of I.D. will be required on arrival and presentation of your credit card.
    Payment will be taken at the time of check in, however we reserve the right to pre-authorise the total sum of booked accommodation.

    CHANGES:
    - an extension to a reservation is subject to unit availability.
    - early departure may incur a fee equivalent to 100% of the booked accommodation.

     

    Rates:

    All rates are quoted in NZ dollars on a per night basis and include GST @15%. Rates do not apply to group bookings, conferences, conventions or special events, for which contracted rates and special terms and conditions are available on request.
    Seasonal unit rates and minimum booking periods may apply.
    Extra charges may be levied eg for departure on public holidays.

     

    Smoking:

    All rooms are strictly NON-SMOKING rooms!
    In the event of someone having smoked in the room, a special cleaning fee of $200 will be charged. We also reserve the right to on-charge to the registered guest any costs incurred and any resulting loss of income.

     

    Visitors:

    Visitors are permitted at the managements discretion, and are to leave the premises by 10.00pm

     

    Environment Policy:

    We understand that all businesses create environmental impacts through their activities. Ours is no exception. In recognising this, we will always try to actively reduce any adverse affects by being sensitive to the impact we have on both our environment and our community.

    We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and ask you to consider ways you can assist us.
    We provide locally made liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner.
    We use environmentally friendly cleaning products and lighting.
    We recycle paper, cardboard, plastics and glass in order to reduce the amount of waste going to our local landfill.

     

    Force Majeure:

    171 on High Motel will not be in breach of this agreement or in any way liable, if it is prevented from complying with the supply of accommodation and other related services by reason of Act of God, Act of Public Enemy, War, Earthquake, Riot, Fire, Storm, Flood, Explosion, Compliance with any Law of Government Restraint Order, Rule Regulations, Strikes, Lock Outs or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the property.

    The above terms and conditions as set out supersede all previous agreements, arrangements and contracts. Refunds will only be made to the credit card debited for the original transaction.

    Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, 171 on High Motel does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information and descriptions of products in the motel.
